Alexander allows 1 hit in 6 innings, Altuve hits the 250th career homer while Astros beats Yankees 7-1

New York (AP)-Jason Alexander threw a hit ball through six innings, Jose Altuve hit his 250th career Homer and the Houston Astros defeated the Yankees 7-1 Sunday after New York manager Aaron Boone was deported in the third inning.

Alexander (3-1) allowed his first hit in the sixth inning, a one-out single to Ben Rice. Alexander did not allow the second consecutive start. He ran three, threw three in a competition in which he mainly trusted on switches and zincs over 87 litters.

Altuve, as designated Slagman, homerde to the left in the first and became the 11th player whose primary position is the second base to reach 250 gays.

Altuve had two hits and scored three points, including on a double from Christian Walker in the third and a single by Ramón Urías who fell between Shortstop Anthony Volpe and the left field player Cody Bellinger in the ninth.

The Yankees managed three hits and lost in nine games for the seventh time and were booed after the final.

Boone was ejected for the fifth time this season after he had argued a strike on Ryan McMahon.

Bennett Sousa loaded the bases with one out in the seventh and Bryan Abbreu allowed a sacrificial battle to McMahon. Abreu Austin Wells postponed at the next pitch. Abreu eliminated Wells, Judge and Cody Bellinger in the eighth.
